Well tonight they were closed and I stopped into this Jewel. Not knowing the store layout, I asked an employee named Rick where to find a deli item. Rick not only stopped everything he was doing to address me directly, but he walked me all the way across the store to the item as well. As someone who spent half of his career in a customer facing sales position, it is a breath of fresh air to see someone with a true understanding of how to deal with customers. I have been to Sunset Foods around 3 times a week for multiple months and never thought to leave them a review. Simply because their employees never came close to wowing me. A 2 minute interaction is all it takes to win over a customer, and in a world full of choices at the tips of our fingers, that interaction is more important than it has ever been.
